Microsoft Windows Installation Instructions


  1. Install USB Camera Drivers
    If you are using the EarthLink/Sprint USB camera (as shown in the photo at right), install the camera driver available here, for your particular operating system. If your camera is not the EarthLink/Sprint variety, install the driver that came with your camera, not this one.

  2. Download the Conference Manager Installer:

  3. Get your Conference Manager ID:

  4. Run Conference Manager Installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. After running the Conference Manager Installer, you will have a new item added to your Programs menu called EarthLink Beta Confmgr.

    Start the Conference Manager Application by selecting EarthLink Beta Confmgr->Conferencing from the start menu.

  6. The first time you run Conference Manager, you will see a configuration screen:

    On this screen, you can specify the location of your video, audio, and shared whiteboard tools. Click Save Settings to accept the default. You may return to this configuration window to adjust the settings by clicking Configuration... on the login window, or Prefs... on the main Conference Manager window.

    If you prefer to select the files manually and you already know the path to the appropriate executable files, you can type the paths into the textboxes provided.

  7. Once you have selected the media tools, press the "Save Settings" button to save the information. If you ever need to update the location of your Vic or Rat/Vat, or change other settings, return to the configuration window by clicking Configuration... on the login window, or Prefs... on the main Conference Manager window.

  8. You're done with the installation and configuration of the Conference Manager. You may delete the installer downloaded in Step 2 above if you wish.
